Dr. Deicy Giraldo is a Prosthodontist from Colombia who graduated from the Herman Ostrow school of dentistry at USC, ASPID program for international dentists where she earned The Outstanding International Student Award: USC Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry and the Predoctoral Achievement award: Sponsored by the American College of Prosthodontics. She obtained her degree in prosthodontics from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia.
In her native country, she worked as a Prosthodontist and owned a dental practice where, with more than 10 years of experience, she focused exclusively on advance restorative dentistry while providing high quality, optimal care in the oral rehabilitation of high complexity patients using a patient-centered approach.
Even while running her practice, she always strived to be an active member of the profession by participating in academia as well as in the scientific community since she believes this not only enables her to broaden, but also share knowledge in the community. This is the reason why for several years she worked as an Adjunct Professor of the Prosthodontics Post-Graduate program teaching courses on Operative and adhesive Dentistry, fixed and removable prosthodontics and Implantology at UNICOC University in Colombia.
